The Red Snapper Atlanta History

The Red Snapper, established in 1986, is known for its namesake – serving fish and other seafood favorites in fresh varieties to please the palette. With a long history at the helm of this unassuming, new American style seafood restaurant on Cheshire Bridge, chefs/owners Jimmy & Somporn Veeranarong are sure to have something for every taste in your party.

For starters, try the crabmeat en coquille – rich creamed spinach and crabmeat wrapped in a fine pastry. For your entrée, the Snapper Yvonne is a popular favorite, served with lump crabmeat, artichoke hearts and mushrooms in a lemon butter sauce. The Snapper Siam offers a pleasing blend of East and West, while the signature Ginger Snapper is a true treat for the senses.

In the mood for other fare? Here, the snapper is the star of a menu swimming with choices, from salmon to scallops, Crabmeat Vidalia to grilled Shrimp Jamaica – and for the land-lover in your crew, a hearty New York strip of aged beef broiled to order, or the popular Chicken Florentine, our tender baked breast stuffed with spinach and topped with a light cream sauce.

Still can't decide? Try one of our fixed-price combinations served with soup or salad, rice or potatoes and sautéed vegetables. And keep an eye out for our weekly specials and desserts – savory new surprises are always cooking up at the Red Snapper.

Our regulars will tell you that once you've tasted our rich creamy sauces and Asian-inspired flavors, our unique and satisfying dishes will leave you hooked and coming back for more. Digital City.com calls the Red Snapper “one of Atlanta's great dining secrets” and Cuisinenet.com raves “check this place out – thousands of Atlantans can't be wrong!”

The Red Snapper has banquet facilities available to suit your special occasions and private parties. We are wheelchair accessible.
